PS3 emulation would indeed be impossible without some form of additional horsepower, whether thats via cloud processing and/or streaming or be some sort of Cell processor dongle. Either way, not bloody likely if you were to ask me.

PlayStation 2 emulation already exists in the form of PS2 Classics. If you have a hacked PS4 running HEN, you can make them yourself pretty easily. Compatibility is spotty, but that’s because we can’t make the emulator profiles like Sony could. PS3 is a different matter, and it seems dubious.

Clearly the big news here is the fact that Overcooked 2 is a thing that exists.

It’s not really “giving” so much as it is you get to use it until you disconnect from the server. It’s not permanent.

To be fair, this wasn’t “all of a sudden”, PS4 and XBO came out in 2013. PS5 and the next Xbox will probably land in 2020.
