Yes, I should clarify that being fine is a relative thing. Since I was expecting news of her being found dead somewhere, hearing she’s with family instead cheered me up but she'll certainly need a lot of help.

I don’t think ringing “20-30 times” is not giving enough time to answer- rather people weren’t answering because it’s the middle of the night and that’s a scary/dangerous time to be opening up the door to strangers

I don’t know about “fine”. She’s been through unimaginable trauma. She’s out of immediate danger, but she’ll probably need a lot of help, both from family & friends and professionals before she’s fine

Yes, the way she seemed to be rushing from house to house, not giving anyone time to answer before moving on made me think this was someone being pursued by a serial killer. She’s fine, he’s dead, sounds so much better that what I thought we’d hear next.
