she probably didn’t bring her driver’s license with her, she grabbed the place card so her body could be identified

This Olympics feels oddly like the beginning of World War Z. I read the book and don’t even remember how it starts, nor do I remember how the loosely-based movie begins. But for some reason I can’t helping associating the title with the upcoming Olympics.

Human rights violations, polluted water, unfinished facilities, hastily constructed (probably dangerous) facilities, kidnappings. All handy reasons to avoid the olympics this year. And THEN you throw a little Zika in the mix. This is a disaster from top to bottom.

Money. Money is the answer.

I still don’t understand why they aren’t at least being postponed. Do they really not see the harm of having a major international event right where this virus is being spread? You will have people from all around the world gathered, odds are a decent amount of those people will contract the virus, and then travel

I wish more people were skipping the Olympics because of the horrifying human rights violation that’s happening in Brazil right now, but I guess the Zika virus is just as dangerous.

“He supports Trump even at his age,” Logan’s uncle said, adding, “He knows a lot about politics.”

Not if it is Olive Garden. Nothing can ruin Olive Garden. NOTHING.

You know what, though, for once I’m ok with someone who thinks the First Amendment means “I get to say/do whatever I want with no back talk.” Because he's in third grade and that's how we learn.

That’s the worst part; his family thinks this is a cute, precocious stunt because they don’t give a shit about his POC classmates either.

I have a third grader. The election has come up quite a bit at school and she tells there is only one kid in her class who loudly and proudly supports Trump.

...Logan told CBS 6 on Friday. “The First Amendment says I can wear my hat.”

The answer is, yes there are.

What change in the system is Bernie promoting now? I confess I am confused.

Is it greater democratic accountability in the nominating process? Because Hillary has more votes than he does. A lot more votes.

Is it elimination of superdelegates? Because right now the only way Bernie can win

I will never be a Clinton fan and I voted for Bernie in the state primary. That said, Bernie,

I’m so sick of the “small business” right-wing talking point. I’ve never seen it spoken by anyone who isn’t a millionaire

Thank you. Came here to say how particularly repugnant it is for the guy whose corporation is known for devastating local hardware stores to have the chutzpah to complain about it being hard to start a small business these days. And for him to say that he’d never be able to start Home Depot these days? Well no shit,

Hey, you know what else is bad for small businesses? Gigantic chain like Home Depot that move into mid-sized towns and drive those small hardware shops out of business.

some of yall mofuckas wearing CORAL and NOT ORANGE.

Most of the people (non-celebs) that I know of that did the challenge didn’t donate. I think their mindset was that someone they tagged would donate, and so on and so forth. People love to pass the buck these days!

I’d be curious how many of the people who partook of the Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014 donated money to ALS charities in 2016.
