Where are you located? I know of a pretty decent 73 for sale in TX.

They do have roughly the same max takeoff weight, but the B17 is 10 feet longer and obviously has like twice the wingspan. This guy built one roughly the size of a Cessna though.

I normally have a soft spot for VW truck conversions, but this is beyond the pale. My very first car was a 69 with a flatbed conversion from a company called Domus I believe. I have only found one other example in a junk yard but the floors were Swiss cheese. If anyone out there has my 69 bugtruck, I want it back!

I've always had a weird obsession with these cars. The 912E could go 600 miles on a tank of gas. I have heard of one 911 being turned into a 912 because the owner felt safer letting his teenage daughter drive it. He was keeping the original engine in the garage for a later reunion.

BMW 850 with manual trans. CSi if you can find one. Well under budget and the right number of cylinders. 20+ years later, still looks better than most cars on the road, including new BMWs IMHO.
