I have an old Lotus Turbo Esprit (an '85).

Yeah, they said 'Honda Impulse' which I had to google up, it turns out to be a little dirt bike. The Isuzu Impulse makes a lot more sense. And I'd take one of those over all three of the others too.

I always liked the Corrado... but it's FWD, which is just not right.

"...outstanding fit and finish..."

Oh my lord, I would have definitely revved it even more if I were the driver. Those people are total idiots. You're in the middle of the city, not at a vickers tea party; engine noises are part of life. That first guy was clearly eyeing the car jealously and snapped when he heard the engine. What a fucking tool.

My great grandfather had one of these at his house upstate. Curious to see where the price ends up on this one. Might be worth putting in a bid if it doesn't go too much higher.

I live in Manhattan :/

That's actually a nice IROC. The wheels need to be about 2" smaller, but there's nothing too garish about the rest of it.

$500 billion is an insane amount of money to ask for and discredits her lawsuit, which is a shame because I really wish these municipal tow/impound schemes would get the book thrown at them already.

Yeah, I've actually rented an exotic in LA so I know they exist and all that, I just can't believe that a walking red flag like her can even get insurance anymore. When you rent an exotic, the one thing they do require is that you already have an auto insurance policy in your name.

What I want to know is who in their right mind is renting a Porsche (or any other car) to that basket case?

His crime was being wealthy in Bolivia. Dude should have gotten out faster and tried to take some of his collection with him, because it was only a matter of time before the comrades came looking for him.

Yup, pretty much.

WOOHOO... I'm gonna take the Esprit out for a drive this afternoon in celebration. Hopefully it holds together long enough to make it back. (I'm kidding... It works wonderfully for a few hours at a time, I'll just make a service appointment in advance to be sure...).

Wow. What a brilliant guy. If I ever have a million dollars to spend on a car, it's going to Koenigsegg. Just amazing.

Yup, that's what union labor will do. In a just world that guy would never drive another barge again, but in reality he could have sank the whole thing deliberately without the slightest thought to job security.

Only one season left after this one.

On the off chance that this isn't just a PR stunt, I'd tell them to simplify and add lightness. Seriously, we need SIMPLE cars, and the Miata is the right car for that to happen with. Other than that:

And that is inaccurate how?
