What’s most likely to happen in my view if he loses is skip Biden’s inauguration and before leaving the White House issue a blanket pardon for himself. I guarantee they already have that drafted and ready to go. 

I could see him intentionally going out of his way to waste money and gut programs on his way out the door just for spite.

His followers are generally cowards who do not turn out in the streets, with the exception of the (few) armed douchenozzles who do things like storm the Michigan statehouse.

My concern is that if his supporters start believing (or pretending to believe) that the election was stolen, things could get really bad.

Trump has never done anything quietly, so no, he won’t. Even if he gives up power on schedule, he’s going to do everything he can to salvage his reputation with his fans, and that’s going to mean endless complaints about a rigged election, mail-in ballots, illegal voting, etc....
