I feel like there was an article on Jez in the last couple months about the origins of feminist blogging that had links to feminist asian bloggers, but I can’t quite remember... if it comes back to me, I'll giveyou a link!

Now playing

I’m from Nova Scotia, which has been in the news this week. Here’s a song from NS that was played as part of the virtual memorial. I hadn’t listened to it in years but I’ve played it once or twice in the last few days.

Those are gorgeous phlower photos! I plant sunflowers too, but I’ve heard they don’t transplant well, so I always start them in the ground. Then me and the neighbourhood squirrels have a hilarious battle for a couple weeks until finally some of my seeding are established enough that they get left alone.

Still working through my reeses easter pb cups, eggies and mini lindt eggs. Haven’t even opened 1 kinder egg, a creme egg, my Easter wookie cookie and the nutella easter squirrels. Also have Girl Guide cookies and vanilla oreos, so I’m feeling good.

I'll try it. I don't want two so close together but I can't bear to just pick one out.

Thanks! 🌱

Lovely! My little seed babies will be inside for at least another month (never plant until after May 24) Your garden looks well on its way. And what a Good Boy, watching over the plants and not digging in them!

I really wish I wasn't so desperately allergic to cats, because they are fantastic personalities.

Cooking is definitely a comfort. I’m sorry your anniversary is a bust this year.

I watched it last week :) Anything with Sandra Bullock is like chicken soup.

I made scones from my Anne of Green Gables cookbook. I’ve been making that recipe since I was 11, so it’s a quick and comforting bake. I left out the sugar so we could use them for little sandwiches since the bread is done.

Isn’t with holding medication and food illegal?

The day was lovely where I am, sunny and not particularly hot or cold. There’s a bit of wind, so definitely wear a light jacket. And maybe a sweater and a tuque. Your ears could get cold.

I feel I should explain that the reason it looks like I’m following you twice is because I just accidentally logged out of the other account and can’t find the key. While I was looking for it, I found the key for this previous account. Burners... they come and go.

In a pay-for-access system, the rich will always have more access. When you get to the point that NYC is at though, resources are stretched so thin, no one’s access is a guarantee. I think you’d have to be Bill Gates rich not Evangeline Lilly rich (and maybe own a hospital) to guarantee it. Which is unfair and

Except they won’t have access to healthcare if the system is completely overwhelmed. And that’s the other reason they need to stay home.

I don’t think you’re being selfish. As other commenters have said, the clinic will let you know if they can’t continue. Life is going to go on after C19, so you should plan for that future, as much as you are able.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Having been very anxious while pregnant in the best of times, I can only imagine what it would be like right now. Sending you all the hugs and positive vibes.

It’s really popular with my primary school students, who use it to publish short films using their toys as props and characters. For the pre-tween set, it’s funny and random. I’m sad the grown-ups are ruining their sandbox.

My very young students have been using TikTok to create animated stories using Lego and other toys, so I’m sad that they’re being targeted for marketing, but not at all surprised. It’s a shame, because they’re doing this for fun in their spare time, and of all the things they could be doing online, making silly shorts
