Yeah it boils down to: some people like VOY better and some (smart) people like DS9 better. Of all my trek-loving friends I don't know a single person sadly that like DS9 the most (other than myself, natch). I keep telling people it's the best one but they either prefer TNG or (shudder) VOY. Weirdos.

I think Betazed works better BECAUSE it's not directly tied to the station. It's well known enough to the majority of fans and because it's from a different show entirely, it adds to the scope of the war.
