I kept thinking Dave Sirota looked like Screech. IT WAS BY DESIGN.

That line could not have been delivered any funnier.
I was already laughing pretty heartily at the A-Team theme slowing down in conjunction with the van sputtering to a stop, but that cut to the empty gas tank had me roaring. I probably should have seen that coming, but my gag blindness made the scene even sweeter.
THAT was the funniest moment of the season.
You didn't laugh out loud at that episode? How is that possible? You didn't lose it at "Wanna fooooook!"?
In an earlierdraft, the Enigma cracking machine was named Bazinga.
Simmons is getting all the accolades, but Teller holds that movie together. He's the best young actor today. The Spectacular Now was my favorite film last year. I'm with you - Cumberbatch's Sheldon Cooper interpretation out, Teller in.
To be fair to the Academy, Snow Dogs 2 & 3 were direct to video and ineligible.
You can reduce any film to a "gimmick" and dismiss it. Like, take away the tracking shot in Birdman and it's nothing. Take away the drill sargeant character and Whiplash is nothing. Take away the wheelchair and Theory of Everything is nothing. Shooting Boyhood over 12 years wasn't a gimmick, it was everything.
I don't think anyone should be allowed to complain about a snub unless they're going to single out the nominee that should get the hook. Like when Keegan Michael Key as Richard Sherman ranted about his outrage over The Lego Movie snub by bitching out Boxtrolls.
I also found it difficult to froth myself into outrage over the Selma snubs because I was very much underwhelmed by the movie. I did, however, froth myself into outrage over the idea that LBJ was portrayed as obstructing Civil Rights. That's an outright lie meant to smear the movie.
It was north of "just OK", but it wasn't a top ten movie for me.
York Hawk
If you flip the construction, you get Dick York.
Texas Chode
No, you suck. Bert was the best part of Trophy Wife, and I loved everything about that show.
I don't know if anyone is still watching this show, but last night's episode was actually good verging on great. Funnier than the previous 11 episodes combined, although I suppose that's not actually a high bar. "Ruby" is available for streaming on Fox and Hulu if you don't believe me. I laughed out loud a few times.…
Robin Tunney's agent called about this unnamed project.
He's like if Jon Cryer had Adam Sandler's baby.
"Second class city" was the biggest laugh of the night for me. Do Bostonians take it as hard as Philadelphians when they're called a second class city? 'Cause Philly folks will cut you if you say that.
