Ok... posts about these cars are rare, so I want to share my story, too. I’ve always had a soft spot for the MKIII Supra. When I was in middle school, my dad paid for a 1990 N/A auto with front end damage. He had a cheap body shop repair the damage with the wrong year front bumper, but it looked decent and I still

Thank you, it was a lot of work, but totally worth it!

Hell yeah, that green 4Runner is my daily and camping/trip vehicle. Bought it in 2008 as a 2wd auto, in 2011 converted it to 4wd and 5spd manual, currently 236k on the ODO.

Comes with the territory of age, I suppose. My current annoyance is the options for replacement steering racks. The “progressive power steering” racks are history.

Hey, you can’t beat free. Good story. What happened to the car? Will you be going manual next time around?

No way. I own both the 89 turbo and a 94 TT, so I automatically get a pass. I earned them sons-o-bitches.

Major Pros:
17x8 and 17x9.5 5 spoke wheels with an OEM fit
Tire options for 17's are far better than 16's
Fits255 in front and 285's out back
Toyota logos on them for an updated white package look
Fits 330mm 4 pot

6k a year? Damn! I tried to get my parent’s 90 N/A back in 2004, but they sold it just before I got my license. Probably a good thing, fixing the car would have been so far over my head as a teenager.

Well, it sounds like a long-term FD project is the better choice over a MK3, considering the space situation (at least

So you’re a well seasoned 7M-er? There’s a MKIII out there for you, when you have the space of course :)

My MKIV already has a set though! Not fair, I needed an OEM wheel that was gonna cover the big brakes. Aftermarket?? Pish, posh! I need MORE TT rear wheels so I can have OEM 9.5" wide wheels all around!

89 is my favorite year. Was this a while back when you sold yours? It’s probably easier to source parts now with forums and facebook groups and the like. The Lexus 1UZ V8 MAF upgrade is quite popular and easy to obtain, I got mine for $40 from someone off supramania classifieds.

I wouldn’t say you’re strange, a few of my friends would agree with you. The 90's bubbliness isn’t the best design language ever. I find, most often, the remarks are about the shopping cart handle rear wing. I think the design is ergonomic, especially when you look in the rearview.

Just in my experience, the MK3 gets m

This car is mine, yes. It’s an 89 turbo with 130k, I’m 2nd owner. It was garage kept, but I gave it a complete overhaul (motor, turbo, trans, interior, everything but the body).

An FD RX-7 sitting around sounds like a sweet project too! Would you keep the 13b rotary? I’m scary of the unreliability and, well, apex

These cars are great for cruising and their weight makes them stable at speed. 10/10 would hoon. They’re truly underrated cars, which unfortunately get a bad rep. Too many F&F fanboy idiots try to boost the shit out of them without fixing the factory head gasket flaw, despite the fact that most 25+ year old cars

I agree, whoever decided this was worth $100 is hitting the crack pipe. As Supra owners, we know a whole lot about absurd pricing! Nice MKII by the way!

George? Is that you?

It’s a 4Runner, Stef!

Excellent detective work, Kristen. That’s gotta be it! Way too much of a coincidence!

I would say it’s an asshole thing to do, telling someone to get off their phone at a stoplight. Someone else made a clear and concise point that, if any time while driving, that sitting at a red light is the safest time to check a phone or make climate control adjustments, etc, if one must. Of course, that driver must
