I beg to differ. The truck has iForce V8 logos on both sides. The 1GR-FE V6 is not referred to by the iForce name. There are many photos of this million mile truck available online which give a clear shot of the badges. It must be a 4.7 2UZ-FE. If it were a 5.7L iForce, the truck would have this logo right here.

“Only drives Toyotas”
Lol, yeah, I suppose I don’t have much patience for carcists!
BTW, I see nothing wrong with a Tacoma with a 4.0 :D

Epic lol, and your user name is hilarious!

Hey svenskfox, that’s awesome! Very cool to see another T4R member! Are you still on the forum or have you moved on to that lovely GTI in your avatar?

*hat tip* Thank you, you made mine with that comment

No FWD vehicles allowed! Automatic transmissions be damned!

By your definition, I am not a car person. All I own are Toyotas. What am I doing on Jalopnik anyway?

My 2 cents... As the owner of both a MKIV and MKIII Supra, they’re both excellent cars. Toyota did a great job making these cars back in the 80's and 90's. Buy one for the sake of owning a classic Toyota sports car. I happen to like Toyota and the OEM aspects of the cars. I grew to hate the Supra community.

The MKIII

Thank you for your reply. I will most definitely exercise more patience, especially now knowing that each Jalopnik sub-site is regarded as being individual. It's pretty awesome how the blog follows its users, too! Thanks again.

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying that.

So is it the editor of the article responsible for ungreying comments? I see newer comments ungreyed.

This all happened because of the prick in car 41 who took tailgating too far. Studies suggest he may daily drive a BMW.

If someone did that to me, I’d confront. Even some gasoline cars can be shut off and run AC, for a limited amount of time. The rest mode in Mercedes S classes runs 30 mins after the vehicle is shut off, keeps temps nice and even. I wouldn't hesitate to use that feature on a high temp day. If someone starts banging on

That straight cut spur gear sound!

Tavarish, it's a shame we live so far apart. Your posts always seem on point with my vehicular interests. Buying old cars and fixing them has always been my preference, no car payments here. Also, you have made past posts which indicate you love old Japanese cars and mercedes. I work for a huge MBZ dealer, parts

Don’t forget - “I defiantly want one of those.” That word usage makes me want to beat the next person I see flashing their brights at a stoplight. Fuck both of those types... they’re doing it wrong... lol

My dad had one, he bought it new. Blue with a gold top. He’s now 78 and still recalls that Continental Bill Blass Edition as his favorite car. My sister in law totaled it while it was snowing on highway 18 (lake arrowhead), over 20 years ago.

He’s referring to a joke from 2014, in which, a weirdo created a Kinja Account called “Doug DeDouchebag.” The account has been mentioned by Doug Demuro in a few of his articles.

It’s a toss up. I own 4 Toyotas, 2 4 cylinders and 2 Inline 6's. Both 4 cylinders use a chain and both sixes use a belt. The chains are nice, my only qualms are when I want to do anything with the camshaft(s).

Belts are dumb on interference motors IMO, that’s something even Ford is guilty of. Back around 09, my buddy
