It was difficult but that was the best part of it - it had an actual challenge. The mainline Pokemon games are so mind-numbingly easy that I quickly lost interest as I grew older. TCG made you think about strategy and building different decks for different opponents.

Ruby Red and Emerald Green

Neat! I remember this game having pretty good music. It’s weird how there haven’t been many single-player TCC-based games like this, outside of Yugioh. I guess all the money’s in online games with mtx.

Ah well, another game I picked up before the 3DS store shutdown and I can now just play on the Switch. It’s fine! My preference is just that these games are officially available.

Not related to the main topic here, apologies on that, but they are making a prequel show about the Rats? I mean why? This just seems like utterly random, especially since they haven’t even had enough of a presence on the main show to know how popular or well-received they are.

Yeah, I got to be honest. Everything I’ve read about that particular situation makes Sapkowski come across as a huge dick. And I am not even that fond of CDPR management.

Plus I can’t imagine L’Affaire Du Cyberpunk has helped matters either

Is Sapkowski keeping the CDPR team in the loop?

The thing I miss most is print media and demo discs. Some of my strongest gaming memories are of games I never even owned: demos I played over and over, or even just games I would read about and imagine. In an era when there are so many games available for free or included in subscription services, it’s funny to be

Passed on the OG PlayStation as I was doing Amiga 1200 and Sega Game Gear at that time, although I spent a number of hours amazed by WipeOut on a friend’s machine.

Oh, I am definitely banging that druid bear.

DS was Wacky Kojima Shit at it’s absolute finest and I’m always down for some more. I just hope he does something to improve the worst part of the game:

They’re some very entertaining farts I’ll give him that.

ok I was waiting for the game to *define* strand in the first place.

I think people tend not to remark on stuff unless they either feel strongly about it (ie. loved or hated it), or are looking to grab attention with a hot take (ie. “this blockbuster game is terrible”). Put together, that usually skews discourse toward negativity.

You’re not. The game didn’t seem to resonate much with capital-G Gamers, like the kind that frequently discuss games on the internet, but it has an 86 on Metacritic and is widely regarded as a masterpiece.

So I’m not one that liked it, but I can tell you one of my friends loved it.

I don’t hate him. There’s something to be said for being an “artist” type - you usually get something interesting.

Based on comments here and elsewhere I feel as if I’m in the minority, but I am one of the few that absolutely loved this game and it’s overriding message. Yes, Kojima loves the sound of his own voice and smell of his own farts, but the central theme of the game is accurate and true.

I’m still reeling from regretting my words and deeds; I don’t think I can go through that again.
