I feel like Bloodborne and then especially Sekiro were trying out new spins, and then Elden Ring was made as (specifically not a sequel so they could be freer again but) a spiritual successor to Dark Souls in the way Dark Souls was to Demon’s Souls and Demon’s Souls was to King’s Field. Nice to see them pick up the Fir

Really seems like the world a lot of people want - and I don’t like the degree to which the courts they bought are backing them up - is one where money is unrestricted free speech but the peons criticizing said usage of money is not free speech and must be ended immediately, lest said donors briefly feel a little bad

I remember the days when some YouTuber got a bunch of kids calling gold ingots “butter”. How far we've come?

Clearly need to drop another dragon on it!

Unions already get to have Scabby, of course, but can their cute mouse with sword who takes down huge creatures become a video game union symbol already?

“Alpha” in the video game sense, maybe - clearly has a ton of problems and shouldn’t be released yet.

Feel like they’d be running scared if the union takes off, though.

At least whatever comes next should at least be a good clue about how they’re doing this thing, I guess. Part 1 did great character stuff and got me very excited and then... went way off the rails at the end. Hope they can land this one as well as 1 and do something good with it, but I’m a little worried they might go

Yeah, I’ve seen arguments that the video game crash wasn’t quite as much of a thing outside of the US and that computer games probably would’ve continued and recovered... and who knows, maybe other people would’ve worked some of the basics out eventually... but I sure can’t imagine games would be quite the same.

They were definitely still finding their footing in the patches and that part drags a bit at times for some people, but I personally quite liked most of the plot between ARR and Heavensward; then it mostly just gets better from there! (Though Heavensward did have a couple of retcon detours I didn’t like.)

Assuming it’s meant to be medieval fantasy is where you went wrong, really. There’s guns, gunblades, mechs, airships of course, the dragons are actually aliens from another planet, magic communication devices that quite possibly just use radio waves, ancient weapons of mass destruction... there’s simply a layer of medi

All the food scenes are great; still haven’t gotten over Alisaie so rudely interrupting my dinner with Aymeric in 3.4, though. The WoL just has a terrible track record with meals, don’t they?

I’m very excited to check out the Summoner changes once things calm down and free trial players can get in again :P (honestly it’s probably more of a question of exactly when you play versus peak times, I was able to get in pretty easily late in the morning of the literal launch day but... it’s been full up the few

Belts were the one item slot that didn’t actually ever show up (despite a few outfit pieces including visible belts of their own), so at least it's not much of a loss.

Spider-Verse. Movie just oozes color, especially some red and green; there’s the snowy graveyard; there’s a banquet; it’s ultimately about family and friends - what’s more Christmassy then that?

Ah, the Cannons show up yet again. I guess this was always why Riot bought them in the first place, in a weird move that left a footnote of a game hanging on for a while longer.

The stock price has been sloping down for a while, at least. Now, the stock market is arguably even more volatile and even less reflective of reality than Twitter... but it’s also the one thing that could be important. (If this sticks.)

Wonder how much of that is more revenue, versus fewer expenses from getting rid of everyone.

I guarantee if, say, AOC posted a picture of, say, Mussolini hanging upside down but with Gosar’s face edited on him, every single Republican politician excusing this - which is to say, almost every single Republican politician - would be apoplectic 24/7, appearing on every channel screaming about the lack of civility

Also love how even when CEOs and coaches are finally terrible enough at their jobs for long enough that they get removed, they get rewarded with a ton of money and no responsibilities.
