I’d absolutely be willing to try supporting a Defector-type equivalent if the worst happened. Especially if they could pull in a few of the old writers... specifically not a couple and so many of them have moved on by now, but...

Looking at all the comments here, and wow, arcade games could get sick.

I haven’t played Crash 4 but the animation is gorgeous. Extremely cartoony stuff, full of character, somehow pulled off in a video game - not just in a pre-rendered opening cutscene! I think it’s absolutely the closest thing in video games to, like, what Spider-Verse did for CG animated movies.

Crash 4 is, by all accounts, so good; was really hoping Activision’s Crash and Spyro returns would stay, and maybe Vicarious Visions could pump out more Tony Hawk while they were at it, but...

A few years ago, some fans made a 3D Noid game that... is actually far better than it had any right to be? Or at least looked great for speedrunning at a GDQ a while back.

I’m quite partial to Nitro Rad’s reviews a couple of Halloweens back, for anybody with some time to kill wanting to know about the whole series. It had its ups and downs for sure, but I think all the games are still interesting, and this way you don’t have to deal with all the annoyances of the actual games :P

When you like tall women - maybe a relic from the taller girls in middle school? - and have become moderately tall, short of like, mostly just a bunch of athletes and a couple of actresses, you're really just left with a handful of video game characters, so I appreciate any addition to their numbers.

Absolutely it can get weird and go too far, but I think it’s expression that needs some outlet. Absolutely there are serious problems that need to be addressed, but I don’t think puritanically bonking everybody and policing what they’re allowed to like or write or portray [besides actual illegal things, of course]…

Granted, my only controller is a Switch controller, and I just couldn’t get the buttons to line up for this on PC. But man, my brain is just too tiny to wrap around the controller controls, at all.
