As other people have said, backwards compatibility is the exception, rather than the rule. The only time you can really expect it is with Nintendo handhelds to some degree.

Favorite so far: New Zealand, favorite in the foreseeable future/all time...still probably NZ. It's seriously an awesome spot there on the N0rth Island and the people were great.

I hear they have access to parts that should be able to boost it to .5 past lightspeed, reliability might drop off though. Thats some of the tradeoffs you look at when altering for performance on some models.
