Good plan. That’s what I ended up doing with both my Subarus.

Tie rods - Are you serious?? That’s the equivalent to saying cheap out on ball joints. That tiny thing keeps your wheels pointing in the same direction.
It’s funny that you think having an older turbo Subaru is going to be cheap.
I could have used this to track down the rattle I had in the passenger door of my V70. It turned out to be a singular rivet (out of like 6) that held the window mechanism to the door frame. It moved so little but created such an annoying noise while driving.
The GT3 is designed to stay cool while idling or running hard in Abu Dhabi, with the A/C on. This engine will likely come with a set of restrictions. I didn’t see anything about oil cooling. You can totally cheat and call an engine air-cooled while using a giant oil radiator.
That wasn’t meant as a dig at you and your personal use case scenario. The vast majority of people never leave the pavement and when they do, just about any vehicle will do. FCA and other manufacturers don’t care that 1% of their buyers drive on fire roads. Even the all-mighty Land Cruiser has gone soft.
People don’t take their SUVs off-road. They never did and they never will.
This is how HD riders take corners. I made the mistake of going on a huge group ride with my boss. We never achieved the speed limit. When it started raining hundreds of these wimps started riding 20-25 mph in a 55 zone.
but...but...I told myself that an in-car head gasket replacements and excessively difficult spark plug changes built character. I told myself excessive oil consumption was normal. I told myself that horrifically bad understeer was fine. I told myself that a modern engine that makes as much valve train noise as a…
This made my day and my day has just begun. The first manual I ever drove was my grandpa’s 194(7?) John Deere. He drove me around on it from basically the time I was born till I was old enough to reach the pedals. That thing had scary amounts of torque. You could easily lift the front end if you released the clutch to…
Why can’t everyone cut this guy some slack. He just loves Trump. He loves The President so, so much. His heart yearns and aches for Trump. He just has this aching, throbbing, love for Trump. He’s almost ready to explode with how much he loves Trump. You gonna knock a guy for love?? So cold. He only wants to fire…
I like this. Reminds me a lot of the Contour SVT, which I also like.
The Envoy XUV is potentially worse.
Well aren’t you a massively huge asshole.
I would have thoroughly enjoyed repairing and organizing that wiring disaster.
I enjoyed this immensely.
I have so many questions. The most pressing is how the fuck do they stop? Run ‘em till they’re out of fuel?
8-10 ply tires have very little give as well, despite the sidewall height.
Do you mind saying how much you paid? I have the window sticker for mine....about 45K!!! In 2004!
Beautiful car. I gave a guy with one of these a thumbs up a while back. It was reciprocated. I felt like we had a moment of Swede comradery as I was in my V70R.
