I agree with you and I think the current discussion about consent is really important for exactly that reason - since we’re all swimming in rape culture anyway, I don’t think we should take that people know what consent is and isn’t for granted.

Pretending that his acquittal absolves him of any guilt is really naive - it may LEGALLY resolve him of guilt, but I fail to see how that means we all have to pretend it didn’t happen and support his movie (which is what this is really about).
The more statements of his that I read, the more convinced I am that this guy is a sociopath.
