One of the more head scratching arguments I ever heard against abortion went something like this (note: paraphrasing a bit because I don't remember the exact quote):
I figured Lorie was killed off by the WD writers due to all the fan hate from her actions in the last few seasons, but at least they gave her an emotional/memorable send off (along with some actual good parenting words for her son, e.g. "I know you'll survive this [...] Don't take the easy route"...).
