Some things are going to happen. First they will start to lower the prices on the Model 3 as the tax cuts expire, so in Jan expect a $3750 price cut. Also, they should be able to raise more capital and get the X-over out the door in an expected timeframe.
If they do launch a X-over, it will eat into model 3 sales.
The Musk haters have been mudslinging for so long they can’t do basic math.
Prior to the arrest Kelly was involved in physical altercations with a guest at Von Miller’s party.
Agreed, 30-70 or 40-80 overtaking times are very underutilized, and more representative of real-world acceleration than 0-60. It’s precisely why I drive a Saab.
Lol, everyone pays for “the fucking roads”. In fact, since 2008 ordinary income-tax-paying Americans (regardless as to whether they even *have* a car) have funded the Highway Trust Fund to the amount of $143,00,000,000 through transfers from the general fund. That’s just a “ooooops, we can’t raise the gas tax to pay…
He also got over $300k from the electric industry...
John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming, got over $400,000 from the oil and gas industries in the last election cycle
We are leasing a Nissan Leaf for $99 a month thanks to this and other incentives. So it’s certainly not anything that is just for the rich.
Could probably do the entire Miata project for the cost of whatever FD donor body you can find that isn’t rusted to hell.
Oh, give me a break ;)
The past two summers, I have driven from Boston to Colorado and back. I would love to have a super cruise system to help me on those drives.
Not really ballsy. SuperCruise is the only system on the market that’s intended to be hands-free. Thus the reason it only works on OnStar-mapped highways, and the dash has cameras to make sure the driver is looking ahead.
They gave autopilot the highest capability/tech score of the bunch, but dinged it heavily because they didn't like that it didn't have a camera monitoring the driver's attentiveness.
Tesla fanboy (and shareholder) here: I’m not offended by the headline.
So I’m sure I’m not the only one who has this question as a Jalopnik reader but, does the staff at Jalopnik want Tesla to succeed or not? I’m genuinely asking because I feel like all I see lately is pissy hit pieces on Elon and Tesla.
Heck, if they let tesla drivers just pick up their cars from the factory, a lot of them would fly out and pick it up similar to the Audi/BMW European delivery
“So, in that context, Elon may be correct, in a way. There could be a shortage of auto haulers, but only in the sense of a shortage of auto haulers that Tesla has taken the time to plan with and establish a working relationship with.”
