Do you live under a rock? Transport shortage has been a well documented problem for many months now a cross all industries. It was caused mostly by the switch to electronic logs of driver hours... Turns out most drivers were fudging and driving more hrs than allowed with fewer breaks. Now that they can’t cheat there

Why are you so effing negative? These are car enthusiasts who want to share their enthusiasm with others who are buying cars like theirs. Who cares if the model is electric? Who cares if the make isn’t turning a profit? Who cares if the CEO tweets too much? If this was Hellcat owners offering to show new Hellcat

While I certainly wouldn’t clock in or anything, I think it would be cool if I could meet new owners of a car I owned and loved and introduce them to it’s features and just chat with them about what to expect. That’s just being an enthusiast.

Whats so bad about helping a company you believe in? honestly?

So only ~200 miles of range in the real world? Just like Mercedes this is a big, fat meh from a an established company that has had years to study Tesla. If Tesla can launch their Model 3 based SUV, it will be their fourth vehicle in the very fatest end of the market and will have ~300 miles of range for less money. I

Am I the only one that thinks the etron grill is terrible and cheap looking? It looks like a single piece of stamped steel thats been chromed. Like something you’d find on ebay for $40+shipping.

It may be “useless” but they’ve sold over 13k of them this year at close to $100k. Of course, all everyone talks about is ‘making a profit’, so sales do matter somewhat and Tesla flat out OWNS the EV market and charging network:

Design wise it’s a let down. It’s pretty much a refreshed A4 Avant/Allroad. Not to mention it’s yet another ev that’s priced out of the range of the masses.

Also, their range is based on WLTP, which is still wildly optimistic (just not as much as NEDC). That 250 mile range is probably <200 miles according to US standards.

Not sure how Tesla failed. Check out the latest sales figures. Tesla Model 3 outsold all premium midsized sedans combined (it’s main competitors: 3 series, C-Class, A4 etc) in July. In August they outsold all BMW passenger cars combined and broke in to the top 5 passenger cars (other cars in top: Camry, Civic, Accord,

Audi’s plan doesn’t address Tesla’s key advantage in a meaningful fashion. They already appear to be behind on their plan for 450 chargers — or perhaps it would be better to say they are fudging their numbers. They claim that they will have 500 DC chargers in 12 months time. They also talk about 150kW chargers and

Just when I think Audi has run out of ways to do its front grille, it glues a wicker basket to a car.

Audi was known for making handsome vehicles.

No Super Charger network so you can’t even charge it anywhere. Failed product.

The slowest Tesla Model X will do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and max out at 130 mph. Small differences, but shouldn’t Audi aim to beat those numbers?

Not just that but with the instant torque of an electric motor, you help get a big vehicle moving.

That’s what Toyota does, though. They wait until the industry and infrastructure is there before they make any major changes. They will probably make one when the concept is completely proven and consistently profitable (and reliable).

Does this mean that these owners have to *shudder* drive the car themselves?!

While I don’t disagree with you about the Bolt, the wait time is down to 2-3 months now for a Model 3.

Stopped reading after this statement.
