Our MkIV has only left us on the side of the road once, when the 13 year old plastic of the coolant resivoir failed. A tow to a local VW expert and $120 bucks we were back on the road. Cars has nearly 170k on the clock and that’s the only time is has “broken down.” Only thing we do is make sure the oil is changed

Wasnt aware there was a MkIV car culture.

If the Tesla owner goes to pick it up from the factory they have to pay Cali tax and their state tax.  If a truck brings it thats a different story.

Having worked for Tesla I’d know. If you fly out to California to pick your car up you need to pay Cali Sales Tax, then the sales tax of your state (if it has it for new vehicle sales) when you register it.

When I was a delivery advisor logistics was always a hassle. I was always trying to find out where my customers S and Xs were. They would sit at lots for weeks at a time. We were instructed to schedule the customers delivery as soon as the car went into production and let them know we would move it up if their car was

Problem with that is you have to pay California and your home state sales tax.

My mother bought, brand new, a Daewoo Nubira Wagon. It had a jon of room in the back, which was nice cuz i played Tuba and Susaphone in high school. However, the car went through front tires every oil change cuz the front end shook so bad. She had it for about 2 years, traded it in for a lightly used Ford Taurus (went

In Maryland a car can still be titled and registered as new if it has less than 7500 miles on it and was not previously titled. I think it cant be older than 1 year though. When Inwas at Tesla a lot of our inventory cars would have over 2500 miles on them already, most being test drive cars.  Highest one had just

1st Gear: yeah, delivery has been a bit of a problem for a while. Logistics of moving cars has sucked. But it also doesnt help when you lay off 9% of your workforce, including Delivery Advisors (like me) that could get the cars on the ground to customers. I used to love and advocate for Tesla, try to explain away

$1800 for clean RX7 Shell is a good deal.  David Tracy should buy this

Suspect was a apparently a contestant in the tournament who had lost.

App only works on smartphones, not tablet compatible.

Yeah, crack pipe

2003 Jetta 2.Slow has crossed the 162k. 15 years old. Oil changed every 5k, reputable mechanic who tells us when parts should be replaced. Still starts every morning and can still do 400+ mile road trips. I hope we crack 200k!

As of the time of this comment, the poll is 50/50. NP for me because I’m a sucker for this era Supra.

dangit...missed that in the old Auction pics. Also didn’t think about the frame damage. I voted NP, like a dumbdumb. this is CP all day long

Watched the first episode mostly as background noise while working on my little Ford GT (Traxxas 4Tec 2.0). I’ve certainly watched better car shows. I may watch the second episode because it has a late 80's Monte Carlo SS and I’m a sucker for Monte Carlos, but I’ll probably quit after that.

I have this rig. No accessories yet, but great!

As much as I love this car, no Pontiac of this era, regardless of miles on the clock, is worth $49K. Not even the much loved G8 GXP.

I had an ‘09 Impala SS. Loved that car. A weak V8 by todays standards, but it would get up and go!
