Education is an investment that pays dividends and always has. Like investing in infrastructure. These aren’t things the public should be paying for directly. They’re things that society, as a whole, should be investing in for the benefit of society. Like medical care, emergency services, and so forth.

Don’t forget that Republicans have pulled similar stunts in other states, too. They’ve walked out on bill votes because they weren’t getting their way. They’re hypocrites, plain and simple.

Doesn’t matter. GOPeons will never rejoin reality. Anything ‘their team’ does is perfectly reasonable and justifiable. Anything ‘not their team’ does is egregious, wrong, and inexcusable. Even when it’s literally the same damn thing. And more often, when ‘their team’ does even worse, but it’s still seen as reasonable

Except that the wealthiest and most powerful members of most societies tend to *ALSO* be elderly -- they’ve had a lifetime to amass said wealth and power. They’re also not the kinds of people who would set about to create a weapon that can easily be used against themselves.

Make no mistake: in the Republican’s Great America, only rich white men have the right to vote. It’s how America started, and it’s the only reality they are willing to accept now.

Because half a million Americans dying just wasn’t enough, let’s lie about being vaccinated so another half a million more Americans can die, too. All will be sacrificed on the altar of Great America.

Instead of spending a lesser amount of money providing decent conditions for inmates, they chose instead to spend a greater amount of money *FIGHTING* providing decent conditions.

It’s still not enough. It will never BE enough. The officers pulling this shit face no real consequences themselves, so they’ll just keep doing it. Nothing will change until the *officers* and their *union* are the ones who pay the price of fucking up and not the rest of society which has no say over officers being

Wait, so you’re saying, “Shoot first, shoot second, shoot some more, and maybe afterward, if you feel like, ask questions,*ISN’T* a valid approach to law enforcement?? That can’t be right. I’m sure all these good, hard-working white cops are just misunderstood.

If you want redundancy in a race, you won’t get it by funding the slugs stuck to the track. BO has invested billions of dollars into its rocket and has almost nothing to show for it: an engine that’s still having problems reaching spec and production numbers, and a rocket that still hasn’t reached orbit (and appears

As demonstrated by the number of them who are current or former military, they’ll *BE* the ones piloting the apaches and/or the ones giving the orders to said pilots.

Before the Insurrection, I wondered why conservatives had a stick up their ass about firearms limitations and regulations to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally unstable. After the Insurrection, I fully understand — they ARE the mentally unstable in whose hands firearms do not belong. The whole point is to put

Another fine example of “I support my tribe, no matter how horrible they are, over yours.”

Also valid. A blanket presumption of truthful police-incident reports isn’t acceptable, and maybe it never was. Too many of them been caught in brazen lies.

This is why, whenever I hear about a black person ‘fleeing’ the cops, my first response is “How is that *NOT* a perfectly reasonable and justifiable response for any person of color in *THIS* country??”

But, you know, *SHE* is the ‘terrorist’ ...not the persons who were so ‘terrified’ of her use of words and non-violent actions that they were compelled to shoot her in the head. No, thatgood and wholesome’ individual was just looking out for for ‘society.’

That’s the kind of intellectual dishonesty to expect from conservatives. They were ‘brought’ here. They did ‘work.’ That makes them workers. So in their minds, nothing about that statement is incorrect. And strictly on a technicality, that’s true. But it’s also completely and intentionally glossing over the fact that

Behold, Conservatives — not even waiting for something to become history before editing it to fit their narrative of the world.

...for violating the civil rights of 57-year-old Frank Amal Baker...

Anything that doesn’t fit with the “Great White Savior” narrative these people have been indoctrinated into believing and never questioning cannot be tolerated. And anyone who stands in the way of maintaining the “Great White Savior” narrative is the enemy.
