Roughly in line with the statistics for the US’s ‘law enforcement’ problem — ie racist mother ****ers are everywhere in the US. And they’re chomping at the bit to load up and shoot anyone who gets in the way of theirWhite Nationalist’s Paradise” fever dream.

Once again illustrating how completely meaningless “Wallstreet” and “Stockmarket” measurements are.

Dollars to donuts *OFFICERS* initiated the violence. Because *THEY* do. Every. Single. Time.

Sooo...it was just like Trump’s conscience, dignity, shame, intelligence, or morality?

If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. The will reject democracy.

Failing upward -- it’s the White America way.

Hopefully this means we can start unfucking the US after four years of unhinged, greedy, stupid Republican control.

No, it’s not. It’s not over. This was just a glimpse of America’s ugly reality, hidden under its collective greed, incompetence, and indifference. The racists didn’t go anywhere. They’re not gone. They’re still in the House. They’re still in the Senate. They’re still in the White House.

Yeah. After they stop killing, oppressing, and destroying people who won’t do what they want. Not while they’re still killing, oppressing, and destroying.

I will no more unify with the GOP than I would with Nazis or the Khmer Rouge. So until the GOP is gone, I have nothing to discuss with Republicans. The ball is in their court. Their options are:

greed-and-crime-focused

Which may be considered an act of espionage, which may be treason, which may be punished with the death penalty. You know, ‘may’ and all that stuff.

Exactly the problem. The idea, while fine as it stands, would slam face-first into the realities of America’s highly partisan political landscape.

I don’t disagree with that either, but I also understand the ‘checks and balances’ nature of the Senate vs the House, even if the Senate is a long ways from actually serving that purpose — namely a limitation on just how much a majority can force on everyone else, ensuring that a few states cannot effectively control

When it comes to impeaching a president, there needs to be a method of overruling a highly partisan senate, too. Because Republicans have demonstrated that’s a ‘norms’ issue that needs to be addressed as well.

Very true. America isn’t their tyrannical, fascist, theocracy yet, and ‘God’ help anyone who gets in their way, even their ‘beloved’ Jesus, who preached socialism.

One of the priorities of congress should be to codify into law all the ‘norms’ Trump has violated with such fevered glee at every turn — including some extreme restrictions of who a president can pardon, when, and why, starting with nobody to whom a president has any personal, political, legal, or financial

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t see “Police Procedural” shows in the same light. When it seems like you can’t go a week without some officer murdering unarmed civilians in broad daylight, on camera, and getting away with it, the narrative behind these shows is completely assbackwards. The ‘hero cops’ are the ones

Because people would rather cling to a comforting lie than accept an unpleasant truth, and there are a lot of instances of this behavior in the US and abroad. It’s something people have to be educated and trained to *resist* before the truth and reality are held paramount, which is why the Republicans have been

You can’t really say they ‘did nothing.’ They did *WORSE* than nothing. The FBI was participatory in creating and perpetuating the farce and clusterfuck of the Trump Presidency. That’s a LONG ways from ‘nothing.’ Doing ‘nothing’ would have been an IMPROVEMENT.
