These guys are great, their Cosmic Crypt ep is so good and some of their best stuff. Should also check out Innumerable Forms who a few members of Mammoth Grinder play live in (solo project from the bassist of Magic Circle). Also Power Trip, Hatred Surge(rip) and Impalers are pretty great as well.

Most anime that’s within 13-25 episodes has very few if any filler episodes and there are plenty of amazingly well done shows that are short like that. Around 40-50 episodes you start getting a handful of filler, and after that its to be very expected, but thats usually delving into the realm of long running shonen…

Saw a youtube video explaining it (so slight grain of salt perhaps but was convincing). Basically poise controls i-frames (invincibility frames) and v-frames (physical/visual frames(??)).
