Von Clyderdale: Exiled from Jezebel

Hmm I’d read it as expecting an apology to Wainwright (whose name wouldn’t need to be mentioned specifically) for bringing this sort of negative attention on her. I didn’t think it was a terrible suggestion. But given the end of his apology is a promotion for his movie I don’t think we should be expecting anything

Lol! He does have a whiff of cabbage patch about him. I think he looks like a rat now-he’s got beady eyes and a weird pointy nose.

Every time he is posted about I see one or two comments like this and I know I’m not alone. Lol. I agree - I’m too old for his boy band days, but either way there is just nothing attractive there imho.

She’s an anti-vaxxer asshole, fyi.

I get that personal tastes may vary, but I do not see the appeal of justin Timberlake at all. Never have, and I suppose I’m in the age group that should be nostalgic about him, but nope. Every time he talks, I hear whining, even though he’s not really. I understood what he and Britney had in common, what with the

I don’t know to whose boner are you referring, but it’s accurate nonetheless.

I agree. Having that asterisk and needing to explain it away, compared to never having the asterisk is something. It’s not like televising Trump’s arrest and imprisonment of course but it is something.

I have to agree with you. As always, Lainey was right to note the promotion at the end of his “apology.” As she said, “his narcissism is breathtaking.” Like, just one time he couldn’t make it about his partner and how he humiliated her, or about his family, or own up to an indiscretion, or whatever, it still had to be

No one cares about your boner

This take sucks. All it does is play into Republican hands: “See, even the liberals expect this from us”. It didn’t look like Nixon was going to be convicted until public support demanded it, and then he bailed. Letting Republicans off the hook before we even put them on it is defeatism.

I disagree about mention of Wainwright—I don’t think she needed to be mentioned here any more than she was. I am firmly in the camp of the married party being the one who bears the brunt of the responsibility, and the issue at hand is how he acted. The biggest thing to me is that he’s co-opted his “good husband,

It’s almost like the solution would be to ensure women get paid as much as men in the first place.

Remember when Mittens Romney said that the uninsured should “just go to the emergency room” like it was free? Good times.

It’s madness.

I’m so sorry. Are there any statistics on the kind of damage it causes? Surely people suffer/die because they’re not being seen by paramedics fast enough? Just awful. Also, what happens if you need an air ambulance? No one takes these for shits and giggles.

It is well known in America to not call an ambulance unless death is likely and imminent.

I didn’t declare bankruptcy, but I suffered through 7 years of questionable credit after an ambulance ride to a shitty hospital (the closest) for food poisoning when I didn’t have insurance. I had another bout of food poisoning a few years later, and even though I had insurance and a “good job” at that point, I took a

Best thing to do is go to General (not for profit) Hospital and "forget" your ID. Don't give an address. Don't pay. (For the record I have insurance now, but that is the reality for many Americans).

Yes, this is certainly familiar to me. I was dating an American girl for a while (we’re still friends... well, we’re friends now) and we were walking to dinner once and an ambulance went past, and the discussion soon turned to how many of her friends were reticent to call one, even in potentially dire situations,
