I went to a Very Fancy wedding that was “tux preferred” or something like that. Barely anybody wore tuxes. To your point, even the groom was just in a black suit.

Then save your money and have a small reception at your house. Venues are expensive. You got chairs already. 

I’ve never been to a BYOB wedding but this strikes me as a great idea

The only thing that matters is the open bar. The food is always always fine.

I’ve been reading a lot of NYT recently but what I loved so much about Gawker and Splinter are the very bright, well-informed commenters. Where has everybody gone? Are we just wandering around the internet intermittently refreshing Jezebel and The Root hoping they can keep up with all the political news?

I have to say I find something about this really gross. He tried to arrest an 11-year-old girl for “assaulting” somebody and he proceeded to ACTUALLY ASSAULT HER and she somehow seems to have gotten in more trouble than him?

I do hope the audience members around these men said something. I know I would have.

I would love a whole anthology of exactly this kind of story.
