Honestly, doubling down on criminalizing poverty, exaggerating his symptoms and repeating made up allegations of ligature marks isn’t necessary to get the point across that you are on some high horse about the Poors. There are plenty of examples in your comment history out there.

Many children’s hospitals will treat uninsured children for all sorts of ailments for free

An ER or hospital has an obligation to treat someone, regardless of insurance status.

His symptoms were clearly on a pathway to *death.*

And hospitals do tend to have quite a lot of compassion for children with cancer and their parents.

And it’s not even like poor people have the option of taking on the insane amount of debt it would have required to possibly save their child.

I think these commenters all completely skipped over the McPhee bit and went straight to Reiner so missed the joke then got (ridiculously over-the-top) pissed at a writer they like to pile on every weekend for some reason.
