I sent a pie with my boyf to his squadron’s Thanksgiving last year and someone stole my fancy ceramic pie plate. So not okay.

Exactly this re: gender. My boyf is a Naval Aviator and his squadron has a pretty even gender ratio among the pilots (traditionally very much a boys’ club). As far as I know it’s never an issue. Maybe it would be more so with fighter pilots, but still. If you can make it through OCS and flight school, who gives a fuck…
