Maybe I'm too cynical, but from the description this sounds like a deliberately bad movie that snuck under the radar. I have to assume watching it is a very different experience, but the whole thing makes me suspicious.

I was so excited for the movie I tried to download the trailer over BitTorrent on a dialup connection. It didn't go so well. And then I forgot why I was so excited about the movie almost as soon as I watched it. I'm not sure why that was; I think it might require a re-watch.
