Depending on where you were on Gran Pulse, you were probably 80% or so of the way through. I'd almost recommend just finishing it off as Gran Pulse was one of the few decent portions of the game in my opinion.

Or what if my machine breaks after warranty?

Same here. I might actually make the WiiU my console of choice next generation if its the only one that doesn't do this.

If you base what's in the console on what's in your computer now, you're going to end up with a really outdated console before long. Keep in mind that the amount of memory in the 360 and PS3 sounded pretty damn good when they first came out, but is one of their biggest stumbling blocks today.

Screw the GPU, what these consoles really need an upgrade in is RAM. They'd better have at least 4GB worth, if not 8.

Yes, I know this site is part of the 'media'. But let's face it: sites like Kotaku don't matter to the general public perception. If a company like CNN came out against SOPA and PIPA, people would take notice. But they don't, so most people don't know or don't care.

The media? Watching it?

I'm not saying it isn't worth changing. God knows my life would be a hell of a lot better if it did. Just correcting the notion that this is a 'new' phenomenon.

This is nothing new. It is the established standard in the games industry. In fact, the old timers tend to call the rest of us soft for not working 100+ hour weeks like they did in the old days.

Wrong. Whenever the boxes with the codes start appearing, Taco Bell will give you a way to get a code without buying a box. They have to - it's required by law.

Check your cables and your connections to make sure something isn't loose. But yeah, that isn't normal.

You did, I see your comment. Make sure your display is set to 'all' and not just 'featured'.

It's the number of messages you've got.

Mario 64 was $70 when the N64 shipped.

How so? When I look at the launch lineup, only Golden Abyss interests me. What do you see that I'm missing?

Project 8 was the first game I had played in the series since #3. Probably because of this, I rather enjoyed it. Played it enough to reach rank 4, in fact. To this day, it remains my highest 'effort' score of any 360 title ('effort' is classified as the ratio of your gamer score to the average gamer score for a title).

I think the first half-hour of MGS4 would be the very definition of 'un-game'.

A re-release of Earthbound would be a lot more difficult due to licensing issues.

Seriously doubt the league would allow it. Would be funny though.

It's not just men who perpetrate this stereotype. The comment regarding Game of Thrones was made by a woman.
