Yup. You know that gif of Buggs Bunny sawing Florida off the US map? We need one of those for Staten Island. Just let it drift off into the Atlantic.

It says they moved the kids to a school in Maryland. My guess it was repeated refusals to comply with basic safety measures. Also, they’re moving their kids to a Modern Orthodox school that is less likely to close much in December since our holiday season happened in September and October.

Nah, “headmaster” is way too WASPy. More likely to be called Rosh Yeshivah or Rosh ...something else.

Considering most of the members in their family tree, I do not have high hopes for those kids to turn out anything approaching normal. I know the school got negative pressure from parts of the Jewish community for admitting their kids, so I’m guessing they’re not too upset at the loss.

Wait, one of them was willed to her grandfather as a wife by her grandmother? Why is no one else talking about this?

I get it. I just ate two baked potatoes, covered in melted cheese.

Hardly the craziest thing I’ve seen recently. No harm, no foul.

Eat lots of of deli meat while in public so, hopefully, someone scolds you for it and you can gleefully tell them you’re not pregnant and they need better manners.

I might have done this while actually pregnant and drinking coffee in public. Growing a human inside your body and having to carry them around with you

Listeriosis has a 20-30% mortality rate and is a really rough way to die. The warning is not to avoid all deli meats forever, just until they’re able to pinpoint the source for a proper recall. Also, after a certain age, all my grandparents (due to a complex family tree, I have a lot of them) wanted to eat was junk

It did feel like an odd cherry picking of cultural elements. Thanksgiving as a concept didn’t come from nowhere. Harvest festivals are common just about everywhere, with the timing depending on when the harvest ends in a particular place. All of them having a strong agricultural tie-in because people had fuck all to

From what I heard, Prue ignores everyone else once the cameras are off and generally acts like she’s above it all. That would explain why she has zero chemistry with anyone. She also has a history of giving critiques that felt very mean-spirited with nothing really to balance it out. Paul has been rather brusque but

I remember that whole pie thing. It was such a bizarre thing for them to choose and rude thing for him to say.

Ugh. It seems like the brownies challenge was basically setting them up for failure. Since you’re starting with something solidly brown, there’s not really a way to make it pretty without plopping something on top. What could they have possibly put on top that isn’t sweet and wouldn’t get them dinged for being “too

It’s warm and spicy instead of feeling like I’ve just drunk a liquid version of the Yankee Candle store.

Thanks! I’ve seen some sharing and eventually I was also comfortable sharing as well. I think there is more discussion since a lot of societal taboos have eroded. My first miracle baby was born a year to the day of my 3rd loss and I talked about it during their naming ceremony. I may very well have been the first

Thank you. I really appreciate it. It is amazing how we can be our own worst enemy in making a hard situation worse by should-ing all over ourselves.

The stupid shit that people said to me was jaw dropping. No, ma’am, this is not a time for you to tell me about Jesus when you know I’m Jewish.

Thanks. My guess is that it is a loss people can’t conceptualize and also the thought of babies or children dying is scary, so people put up walls to pretend like these things aren’t real. We are accustomed to the concept of death after someone is “old” (even if we try to fight it), but not the very young.

The one thing that helped me get over my overwhelming sense of guilt and shame over losing three pregnancies was actually reading an article about celebrities who had lost pregnancies. These were people who had access to the best medical care, a private chef to cook all the “right” foods, personal trainers to help

I also can’t stand the overwhelming sweetness of most coffee creamers, so I just sprinkle actual pumpkin spice mixture in with my coffee when I brew it. It’s perfect. There’s lots of precedent for this, it’s pretty common to add cinnamon and/or cardamom to boiled (aka Turkish) coffee. However, I have neither the time
