I love the update letters even more than most of the initial ones.

I can see the perspective of it as patronizing (like when men walk around offices handing out a flower to every woman in honor of mothers day*), but it still warmed my heart a bit. The rest of the world’s news is such unrelenting shit, I’m choosing to take as much as I can in a positive light.

I would be super interested in taking some of this stuff as an adult but have no idea where. None of the local adult ed programs have things like home maintenance or auto repair. Some have gardening but usually specific sub-topics when I what a general overview.  

I still think there is a lot that could be taught in terms of sewing a button, hemming pants or a skirt, or repairing a seam. For food, you cover basics, like knife skills. What does chopping, dicing, juilenning look like? Paired with instructions on some food-processor hummus and you end class with a healthy snack.
