Thanks to genetics (and hitting puberty early and dramatically), my mom and I had experiences like that except I was 14 and she was mid 40s and we were in restaurants or a book store or somewhere else where we were minding our own damned business.

As a 33 year old with a toddler, this was freaking me out too. I can’t imagine they were ready to become parents when they did and this probably wasn’t the first time she has been abused.
