I’m sorry I didn’t catch your tone. But the conversation was just about my personal opinion, which doesn’t happen to align with most others’. And that’s OK!

Wow, OK. No need to get heated, amigo. Congrats on sharing an overwhelmingly shared opinion among pretty much every critic and review when this movie came out.
The tension from that final conflict with “the creature” doesn’t need to stem from it being an actual supernatural monster. She knows she’s being hunted by someONE not someTHING, which if you ask me is enough to inspire fear in anyone.
What the fuck is wrong with people.
I saw the film when it was first released as a wee 16-year-old, not sure if that impacts things at all, but it’s worth mentioning. I’m also the first to admit I’m absolutely terrible at guessing twists. But I’m a rewatcher of flicks so I don’t ever feel like knowing the twist ruins things for me. But even if I didn’t…
“The Village” is his best film in my eyes. Marketed entirely wrong -- it is a period-style drama, not a horror flick -- but wonderfully shot, scored and acted.
He’s got a pattern for this behavior? Jesus.
Echoing what others have said and extending my sympathies. It really only crystallizes what’s been brewing in my head: what the ever-loving fuck is wrong with someone to decide to hoax this shit?
I think the Tomatometer has really skewed people’s perception of a movie’s quality, because it has almost nothing more nuanced to it than a thumbs up/thumbs down barometer. All 99 percent means is that of 100 reviews tallied, 99 were positive. This includes reviews that would be more on the “eh, it’s decent” side of…
I’ve never encountered a Kate Bush fan who so vehemently hates her videos. Which ones stick out as particularly poor to you? I like most of them!
Speaking as a gay man, this is terrible and only harms the community. I can’t fathom what he was thinking if this is true.
What a silly thing to say.
I may be but one small gay man, but a gay joke done well can certainly be funny to me! Kevin Hart’s gay jokes were never funny, but I’ve never found a single thing he’s done funny so that’s just par for the course.
No Smash?
I had the audiobook on cassette as a dino-crazed kid in the mid-’90s. I adored the story. Played it on my Walkman during every family road trip!
Maybe I read it wrong, but The Root’s take on it felt incredibly tongue in cheek.
“Doing something illegal and texting about it? Well, then you’re a fucking fool and you deserve whatever you get.”
Excuse you, the ride is classic and I’d choose it over Space Mountain any day of the week.
I know if an ex tried to hijack my workplace with a public display of acting a damn fool, I’d take him back in an instant!
But RDR2's gameplay looks pretty damn stellar, so that isn’t really saying much.
