Hey, I didn't even like that it happened in the comics. Marc Webb killed Gwen only because it happened in the comics, and Gerry Conway (the very mediocre writer who the wrote the comics version) killed her mainly because he thought she was boring and didn't want to write her. People thought it was some kind of

First, Gwen's death isn't "fan service". Gwen Stacy's death as as much a part of Spider-Man canon as is Uncle Ben's death and even Peter becoming Spider-Man in the first place. It can never be considered fan service. Fan service is doing something that tends to not help the story or is forced, such as your correct

Please let Zelena be dead, I can't stand to watch her ridiculously sneering face any longer.

You're certainly not, I'm right there with you. I think most people agree that this was a pretty deeply flawed movie. But If they would have let Gwen live that would have been a huge sign saying, "Hey we're doing something new here, stick with us," and probably bumped it from a 5 or 6 to a 7 or 8 for me.

His Spider-Sense couldn't help the situation— either he webs her and she dies or he doesn't and she still dies. Classic no-win situation.

Yes. You are indeed the only one that didn't like Gwen dying. (or at least I hope so)

I needed somewhere to share these...here will do.

However, Harry's motivation in general did quite bother me. He was mad at Spidey for not giving him his blood, and then when he injects the venom directly it almost kills him. And this makes him... even MORE angry at Spider-Man? Shouldn't it have made him realize that Spidey was right to not give him his blood,

Yup. And don't get me started on the OSHA violations at OsCorp...

Eh I've gotta disagree. I thought that the death was nicely done, and the entire movie was leading up to it. In fact, I was starting to get annoyed about how much of the film was dedicated to the sappy relationship problems between Gwen & Peter. Then the tragedy struck, and I realized that all of that buildup was

I left the theater screaming "I KNOW THE POWER GRID" it's the new "It's a Unix System, I know this!"

SPOILERS:

As Gwen was falling, the hands on the clock face were spinning out of control. After she hit the ground, the hands stopped at 1:21, which of course references Amazing Spider-Man 121, her death issue.

Am I the only one who didn't like that Gwen died, like at all? I found it was totally unnecessary and the movie would have been stronger if she had not died. The relationship she had with Peter, with her knowing his secret identity and being able to help him. was pretty different from what it was int he comic, and

Did anyone notice the Electro birthday cake? Green and yellow ala classic electro!... I thought it was pretty cool.

Garfield's crying skills really sold it, too. *sniffle*

And the building was — at least, back when I was in college — often described as 'a flying saucer in a landing cradle'.

Incidentally, the Geisel Library is prominently featured in Vernor Vinge's Rainbows End.

There are plans to build in Mexico a gigantic inverted "earth-scraper" pyramid :
