I distinctly remember one of these forming over L.A. about 30 years ago, right around sunset, and it spawned a LOT of great pictures in the newspapers and magazines, my favorite being the one with Tiny Naylor's (Sunset & La Brea) in the foreground. Really wish I could find that one on the web!

I was mostly thinking of how the term's been applied to Obama. I mean, we had to wait 8 years to get a president with an actual cool personality, and I see all these people gathered in little groups with worried expressions, speaking in hushed tones about the "cult of personality" surrounding Obama, and it really

Never really understood that term. So, if somebody happens to have a good personality that more than a few other people appreciate, that makes it a "cult"?

Really loved all the subtle little physics demos in this film, especially the stuff with the spotlight in that first strip club scene: From the beam first traveling across the room in slo-mo to the "gravity lensing" as the massive Russian steps in front of it. Pure awesome!

I'm sure the rising population of diabetics will be glad to hear this.

So, no more expiration date for SG-1's availability on Hulu, I guess. Awesome!

Yeah, me too.

Well, they already killed Human Target with the changes in Season 2, so I'm much more bummed that Fux cancelled The Chicago Code, which I was really enjoying!

Of course, maybe it was also because the story was too damn complicated for a 10-year-old like me.

When I went in '07, it was in Pasadena, which was a major schlep on the Metro from Hollywood.

Okay, I have to go lie down for a spell. My brain hurts.

Well, I'm glad the disco version includes the flute notes that were nowhere to be found on the "official" soundtrack album I bought, back in the day.

"...what's cool about Marvel Studios - they don't have to convince the executives that a cosmic, slightly out there character like Thor is cool and deserves his own movie — and that means there isn't the pressure to dumb the character down..."

Yeah, I've never seen a graphic depiction of a murder in an ad before. Oh, right, it was "just a robot."

Well, all the important stuff's been covered, so I'll just add:

Yeah, they used that song in the Doctor Who Confidential segment covering the orphanage scenes, and it's astonishing how perfectly it fit with the montage!

Actually, those faceplates are made of Lexan™, which is what bulletproof windows are made of, so the bullet shouldn't have even gone through.
