Paul has literally been the #1 mentor of young point guards in the league for the past 8 years or so. Eric Bledsoe, Donovan Mitchell and many others have praised Paul for his teaching efforts and abilities and willingness to help them out.
Who are we kidding - Paul will still miss half the season and SGA will have all the time he needs to develop.
The true downside to the Thunder keeping Chris Paul is that it slows the development of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He had a really good season running the point for the Clippers last season and played better and better as the season wore on. The Clippers had a few vets to play PG like Pat Beverly and Lou Williams, but…
