@revdrkevind: Theres a windows equivalent? Who has a C2D ( 64 bit processor btw) running with a 320M for $500?

@Mooncow27: For anyone interested in the Vaio X, here is some clarification. First, the specs listed above are for the $1,500 model. The unit comes with two batteries. To get even close to the advertised "up to" 12 hours (which you won't do), you have to use the extended battery chassis which attaches to the bottom

@Bant: Electric Burger: Starting from power off is BOOT UP TIME, which is 15 seconds according to this article. Significantly faster than the iPhone. Waking up from sleep is identical to iPhone, instant.

@Matt0505: No new OS X until Summer, and it should run on it. It will have iLife 11 though, which is pretty nice.

haha, 1:57, I KNOW YOU KNOW DAD.

Sounds like this photo is about as anticlimactic as his fireworks show.

Source? Your Yahoo link says nothing about Apple or iPods. Looks like they might have edited it out?

@Eddie Mitchell: hahahahaha......i hope thats not true. I just picture an executive with a Target-branded yo-yo dinking around in his office consciously trying to be "clever." Put that in dull Mad-Men tones and in the 1960s and we just wrote an episode.

@Snow leopard: Under General / wifi/ press the blue arrow next to "free public wifi" when it shows up next, then make sure "auto-join" and "auto-login" are both off. You won't connect to them automatically ever again.

Simple example of what frustrates me about Windows and Microsoft. This is a really stupid coding error, and look at the global presence it has. Its like they don't care about the products they make, and that always frustrates me when I'm using Windows. Some accountability would be nice.

This was a PR meeting and nothing more. They leaked it to the NYT. Microsoft must appear to be committed to a 'strong alliance with Adobe Flash and the Flash development community through an alliance that ensures Windows Phone 7 users will always have full access to all parts of the Web.' Yadda yadda.

@jmd1513: This is an FBI/National Security case which likely had a warrant in place, given that they were doing way more than tracking his car by their own admission. If not, sue (obviously) but this is definitely not the same as the police department tracking thing that just happened.

@jmd1513: What makes you think there is a lawsuit to win? There is nothing to suggest they don't have a warrant, and the FBI source in this e-mail even indicated that it's standard operating procedure to get one in this case. If they don't have one, by all means sue, but I doubt thats the case.

@HallaEks: I'm not sure the net did much here. Got him contacts at the ACLU perhaps, but that's about it. The odds of them having a warrant (as indicated by sources in this article) is extremely high. There are laws in place to let what happened here happen, and the net doesnt change that.

@v6sonoma: I wanna hold it and be able film the people looking at me because of how cool I am.

@ToastyUterus: Hmm, Giz says "to get the Made for iPhone badge, which allows the cases to be sold in Apple Stores" so I guess thats what confused me.

@jhuang: Yeah, no you should definitely base your conclusions solely on this article.

I'm concerned that this guy doesn't know what "retail" is. Of course ______ gets 10-15% for selling ________'s product in their store: that's how retail works.

@Pressure: The world is flat? I'm listening!

@duck: imma hook u up with mad cat pics just sec
