I can live with that. I just can't get worked up about Jennifer Lawrence's salary—I have my own (considerably smaller) salary to worry about.

Am I a bad person for not caring about how one movie star's paycheck differs from another movie star's paycheck?

I know, she's apparently in everything ever, but I either somehow missed all those movies or I have a very specific form of face-blindness.

I don't know who Jessica Chastain is. I mean, I know the name, but I don't think I've seen a single movie she's been in (which is definitely my bad—I don't get out to movies much any more). The only place I might have seen her face is the trailer for The Martian.

Actually, I think it's actors who want to make sure that people see their faces. I definitely would have preferred seeing Spider-Man fight the Green Goblin instead of Tobey Maguire in 95% of a Spider-Man costume.

Apparently all you need to do is schedule a book signing on a day when not much else is going on in the city.

Out of all the bands/artists you mentioned in this article Chic is one of 2 that I'd never heard of before (the other is the J.B.s). Just saying, maybe they don't belong in the hall of fame. Because, of course, I represent the average rock music listener in every way.

The Godfather. Especially Part 2. I fell asleep half-way through it. I know, it's one of the greatest movies ever, perhaps the best sequel of all time. I've never even gotten around to finishing it. It just doesn't interest me.

As annoying as 'rents, 'za, and 'zine are, at least they're using apostrophes for their intended purpose, rather than just throwing them into plurals willy-nilly.

Watching a good competitive football game can be exciting, objectively speaking, but when the Patriots are playing I'm decidedly not objective. Give me a 50-point lead every week and I'll still watch every second, even down to Garoppolo taking the knee.

I'm not really surprised that Alien is most popular—in addition to being a great movie it has crossover appeal. I don't really like horror movies, but I do like Sci-Fi, and Alien fits nicely in both categories.

I hate myself a little for knowing this, but Brittany Spears' sister (who also had a music career of sorts for a bit) is named JaimeLynn. Lynn is the mother's name, Jaime the dad. So it's already started.

None of the complaints they present about this movie in any way affected my enjoyment of it.
