This is a valid question and I think maybe the answer is that Beto has an “x-factor” about him? He’s a great orator, smart, personable, relatable, motivating, inspirational and, very important, media savvy.

From what I understand, this case is far from over and has been referred to both the IRS and FEC. And that Underwood and NY are still pursuing the tangle of illegal shit in court. 

As the daughter of a paranoid, delusional toddler (aka babyboomer mom) this has been a comforting thread as I realize I’m not alone. But also agree that it feels strange there are so many parents/family members like this.
