Can someone clarify whether these people are already confirmed to the positions? I thought CIA director and SoS need to be confirmed by the Senate? Even if the people involved have been confirmed for their previous posts, don’t they still need to be confirmed again for their new posts?

Can you have a NDA in public office? I would imagine there’s some kind of contract about what you can talk about, but would think it would be null if you witness something illegal.

I love that he wanted people to know he made the decision “all by himself” (like a big boy!). I would have thought it anyway, but now it just really emphasizes that he likely made the decision after Putin told him to.
