Elgort seems like the kind of guy who, when hearing the name for the first time, was like - eh no - this is America and I’m calling you Timothy. Or just forgot to not pronounced it the anglicized way.

He’s also SUPER nice.

Ellen Page kind of answered this question the most bluntly. When asked about working with Allen (in the same movie as Gerwig) she said she felt pressured to do the film and that it was the allure of working with someone so esteemed that made her cave. She fully regretted the decision and said it was the worst mistake

I feel so, so badly for Barron. He was born into a toxic family. My only hope is that, given his father is so old and therefore will be too old to actually take an active role in Barron’s life, Trump won’t be able to inflict any real lasting damage on the child’s psyche.

Featuring Vinnie Jones as Abu, no longer a monkey but a hooligan gorilla (I feel like I’m writing Trump’s new favorite fanfiction).

I think that’s incredibly honest and appreciate your forthrightness. I think being honest about limitations is a good first step. Because it acknowledges a reality and when you can see/understand something you can then change it.

haha when in doubt, blame the men :)

Well articulated! I definitely see both sides of this issue. I think the problem, specifically as it pertains to the Globes, is that it felt like there were two different shows happening. It just created this stark contrast that seemed slightly tone deaf given the theme of the evening.

Agree. Jennifer needs to fire her agent and publicist stat bc neither are helping her career.

This is why, if Oprah were to run and win, I wouldn’t be mad. She would, without a doubt, fill up the government with not only hard working, smart people, but she was also bring diversity back to the WH by appointing women and POC.

You are right that it would have been hard to the thread the needle perfectly to appease all parties. But I agree that even just some kind of acknowledgement from the men would have sufficed. The deafening silence and split tone of the awards was, in my opinion, worse than saying nothing.

With all due respect, I disagree with you here. From my perspective, I think men should insert themselves into the conversation by being allies, listening, and learning from women. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with a man acknowledging an issue and pledging support vocally, especially at such a high profile

Maybe they could have said something like, “I’m grateful for this award, thanks to my agent and publicist etc etc AND I am also inspired by the women here tonight who are fighting against systemic gender and racial inequality, harassment and assault. I stand with you, as we strive for inclusion in not only our

Um isn’t this exactly what he should do? Biden should run with a much younger up and coming Dem as VP (like Harris, Gillibrand, Booker, Kennedy III, Murphy, Klobuchar, Schiff, Castro). He is in the WH for one term and then passes the torch in 2024...

It’s probably a combo of both.

He couldn’t fucking find Rudy Giuliani sitting right in front of him.

Trump also signed an exec order specifically to allow Steve Bannon a seat on the NatSec Council.

Yeah, I think the Bannon stuff likely really has him quaking. If he loses Bannon, he loses his base (and that sweet sweet Mercer cash). He’s already lost Bannon it sounds like and if the base goes so does Trump’s presidency.

If it’s any consolation (it isn’t), I have it on good authority that NBC couldn’t wait to get rid of him. He cost WAY too much and NBC couldn’t really afford to pay him as much as they did. Hence why they dropped him literally over night and likely why Hoda’s salary is nowhere near as much as his.

Pnina Tornai is the Jessica Mcclintock of wedding dresses - just sluttier.
