This is a “sorry I got called out for fucking up” and not a “sorry I fucked up” thing. If he was even mildly concerned about others, he would’ve worn a mask and immediately withdrew after his diagnosis, pandemic or not. Just a douche move all around.

I’ve used reputable, pretty decent sized moving companies for multiple full service moves to great results. All of them actually cared about my stuff and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy. None of them overcharged or anything.

It isn’t about need or lap times, it’s about what is perceived as luxury to the average buyer... the people buying cars in much larger numbers. FWD will push people to the other cars, AWD makes it a consideration for those buyers.

I just don’t take much faith from a comment like that, because unless he explicitly states something covering all future models, he could easily walk back that he only meant the standard model.

I’m sure he was specifically talking about AWD for the regular model, since he didn’t address the Type S at all. I would be shocked if they didn’t put AWD in the Type S, considering their competition listed.

Neither are vehicle breakdowns, flat tires, weather that isn’t super safe to drive in...

It was a 1900 mile drive. Pretty sure a flight is always faster.

This totally ignores the value of your time and wear and tear on a vehicle.

The Model Y is hideous and not friendly to reintegrating someone to driving with it’s interior layout.

I’m in the suburbs, but it’s much easier to say Chicago area. Roads aren’t much better here, but at least traffic is much lighter (especially on the highways).

I would agree with that. It’s a shame, but totally true.

I agree with you... when I was shopping in non-major areas. Chicago vs Madison/Milwaukee are very different experiences, for example. 

Yeah that’s pretty much where I ended up. Either a much bigger car (the Panamera is a foot longer!) or similar stuff. Might just end up with the new C43 next year, unless the next S5 SB is amazing. I’ll lose the hatch, but gain in other areas I guess.

I had a MK6 Golf R that rode pretty well, but the roads in Chicago are way worse than the ones in Wisconsin (in fact a couple trips to Chicago bent two rims, ugh).

That only works to an extent. The car comes on big wheels, and you can only go so small before having to replace the brakes too...
