Yeah I have a S5 Sportback now, and starting to get the new car itch... but disappointed at the lack of options above a similar car. There is no Porsche sedan in this size unless you go electric, for example. :(

I agree. I was strongly considering a M3 for my next car, but what’s the point in it when I’ll never use the power and it’ll just be more uncomfortable than the step down. The only thing I’m really giving up are cooler looks and somewhat better seats, but gaining comfort and cash in my wallet.
It’s easy to say “you signed up for a firm ride when you buy this” when driving in the desert, but for those of us that live in areas with broken pavement (Chicago, for example), it’s just miserable. What’s the point in adjustable dampers on a DAILY DRIVER that will almost never see the track if comfort isn’t…
A bit easier to have different interiors when it’s just a few knobs and dials instead of an entire expensive ass multimedia system.
As I said, clearly not a luxury car buyer.
That’s the thing though: This isn’t limping along. Nostalgia brain has ruined so many people here, thinking regular ass Integra of the past was some bastion of high quality motoring. Acura made meaningful upgrades to the car to make it the Integra, and it represents a whole lot of things not available on the Civic. If…
When you’re an insecure narcissist, the likes are the only thing keeping you going. Otherwise what are you left with? Self awareness, which leads to the disappointing realization that you’re an edgelord that no one truly likes? Fuck that!
Tell me you’re not a luxury car buyer without telling me you’re not a luxury car buyer.
People here bitch about cars not having real names, so Acura went back to Integra for the entry model instead of ILX and... it’s wrong? I think your nostalgia brain is making everyone crazy. Plus it’s just a name, car names don’t have some magical meaning or whatever. Who cares.
lol this is such a bad take.
Literally kind of what they’ve been doing since inception, so what were you expecting? The Integra is exactly what you’d expect: more features, luxury stuff, options above the Civic with the Civic’s current best engine and an automatic options. The Type S will be the civilized (and hopefully AWD) version of the Type R…
It’s weird how entitled salesmen and sales managers get over the whole process too. Like they’re doing you a fucking favor selling you a car. It’s especially worse in relatively well off areas at luxury dealers; it’s amazing how far up one’s own ass an Audi sales manager can be, but holy shit it can get pretty bad.
The GR Corolla and this are two very different cars. If you’re looking at a GR Corolla, your other comps are a Golf R and Civic Type R. If you’re looking at the Integra, your other comps are Audis, BMWs, Mercedes, etc. (the cheapest ones). Or you could wait for the Integra Type S that will be faster but still softer…
What are you going on about? The Civic Si is a kind of stripped down, sporty, largely uncomfortable car for a very specific buyer.
What do they even stand for? What are they trying to accomplish?
Obligatory Shaq’s gas theory reminder:
Edgelord billionaire continues to be an edgelord.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy
I think the Supra looks pretty awesome, and it’s way less polarizing than the current Prius and other horrible looking econo-boxes/SUVs.
Oh yeah, I agree. The reality is that car companies should ignore internet commenters because it doesn’t result in actual sales. They’re the “I’ll buy used” crowd or “I actually bought a civic”...
