What is the difference between GL(-B/E/whatever) and QX(-30/50/60)? It’s the same principal: bigger numbers/letters mean bigger vehicle.

It’s not unpopular, it’s likely true. Even the GTI has a near 50/50 sales split, and I imagine the Golf R isn’t far off.
Yeah seriously, at least those companies probably understand quality standards and repeatable manufacturing processes.
That’s a bit short-sighted. Mercedes just totally changed their naming convention on SUVs and no one is throwing a fit over that - they even have stuff like “GLC” and “GLC Coupe” being two very different looking vehicles. People will adapt to name changes... if the product is interesting.
Rian Johnson is the best. Best movie of the holiday season 2019 and 2017.
The Q60 looks great! ... on the outside. Then you step inside and realize it has the same interior as the Q50 from 2013 (as a 2014 model year), which wasn’t great back then and is lapped by everyone else today.
To be EIC of a publication like that, you had to toe a line for a long time. The problem with the Conservative movement at the moment isn’t that “pension is more important than country/faith,” it’s that any word of opposition gets you tormented by the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES plus his rabid fanbase turned on you…
I agree. I couldn’t believe how cheap the Guilia felt after sitting in it back to back with an IS350 F Sport and Audi A5/S5.
I mean it’s pretty obvious:
Bahahaha
I completely agree. The minute they brought back captain fan service, I knew this movie would play it safe (read: boring). TLJ demonstrated that Star Wars could be so much more...
Nothing matters because it won’t come to the US. :(
People don't typically cross shop compacts sedans and large SUVs.
Yeah. There’s lots of people that don’t want a bigger car but can afford more car... so the performance variants are perfect.
Yep. Someone recently did a review of the CLA35 and it stickered at nearly $65k after options. With the Golf R over $20k cheaper, probably more comfortable and definitely just as fast... why the hell would you not get the Golf R?
In all of the newer redesigns (starting in 2017ish, I believe), they got rid of retractable screens. For a few years they did the “stick it on top of the dash” (see: Q5, A4, A5 and their variants), and then they switched to the new “integrated into the dash” as seen in the new A6, A7, and Q3.
Agreed. 3 of my last 4 cars had hydraulic steering (MK6 Golf R was the only one that didn’t), so I’m biased toward favoring that. The Audi is obviously not as good, but Dynamic Steering definitely didn’t improve anything.
The RS5 is a $40k car with a pile of performance upgrades. That’s why I specifically called it out for not being worth the price jump, considering my S5 stickered around $65k.
No, I wasn’t a fan. It felt... artificial? Weird? I put my standard setting in “Dynamic” mode to increase the heft (coming from a Golf R and E90 3 series, among others), and love it.
I had a SQ5 loaner in that color and it got a lot of compliments.
