Did he hit his hand (or the ball) on the wall when trying to throw it? That’s the only thing that seems to make sense.

Oh yeah, the gap will shrink over time. As they add power and features to the Supra, the price will creep up. Over time, the C8 will start seeing incentives, although that may take more than 2 years given the early reception of the C8 compared to the C7.
It’s all about bragging rights and perceived status. It’s why you see soccer moms in M5s instead of a 530/540/550.
When you spend that kind of money on a vehicle, you expect slightly better treatment than the dude who bought a Yaris (and at least as good of treatment as the dude who bought a $30k MB CLA). Glad I’m not the only one who understands how this is a barrier to buying high end cars from non-premium brands.
lol. They literally sell a dozen cars a year.
Agreed. It would make me hesitant to buy any of those cars. The only non-premium car I’ve had in the past decade+ was a Golf R, and the experiences I had at the local VW dealers (Milwaukee) make me reluctant to do that again.
Im 35 and able to afford this stuff too. Unfortunately there’s way less of us than there are boomers with this kind of income. At least we’ll have the Porsche options.
Honestly it isn’t about the badge, but instead about the dealership you have to go to for purchase and service. Would I rather have Macan loaner or... Does Toyota even give out loaners?
Significant percentage? Outside of Porsches, name another $50k+ car that has a high manual take rate.
That car is sexy. If I ever become a two car household, that will be a serious consideration.
Considering how few cars they're going to sell? Yes. They definitely calculated the return rate on this and realized they wouldn't make any money.
Being faster matters so little when driving on public roads. You don't buy a Cayman to be fast; you buy it for the feel. I can't imagine a lot of people are cross shopping the two, especially since a new Cayman will run you $75k or more after options.
They’re totally different cars. They’ll have different feels and a $10k price gap is not insignificant. They also project different images, especially once all the old people start buying the drop top C8.
What a fucking coward.
My thoughts exactly. Here’s hoping he sticks around, I always loved reading him on Grantland.
This would all totally make sense if... there wasn’t that 3 week gap he referenced during a work trip. She didn’t go on the trip to play doctor for 3 weeks straight, and there is little doubt she didn’t avoid communication with friends, family, and whoever else she wanted to talk to.
Dude dating the doctor: I’ve been through the same thing. Someone working an extended hours job, traveling for work, etc. If they want to keep in touch, they will. It does not take much time to send a text, and I guarantee you she’s talking to other people during that period... which means you’re not at the forefront…
I mean... you read the blog, right? It’s coming back for the next gen, it’s just the current gen is ending its production cycle.
Absolutely, especially if you’re going into a field like engineering.
Because when thinking about interesting or good cars, the Challenger should be far from your mind.
