This was my first thought when I say the title of the article. I love the current XF but the front end design absolutely ruined by the radar emitter in the grill.

Vintage production cars looks like the most interesting class to me based on the entry page.
I know it is a completely different platform and therefore could never realistically happen, but could you imagine this with a Grand National powertrain? That would be insane! Ultimate 80's car right there.
Very cool car. Not worth anywhere close to $12,500. CP.

I’m currently in Lake Forest too. I second this idea. Also Strange that this is the second time our paths have crossed today.

The days of drivable $500 cars are gone. That aside, this is not the car for someone looking for the newest or most reliable daily driver for their money. This car is for someone who specifically wants an old 7 series. The way I see it there are two possible buyers for this car. The person who could afford a much…
This is my exact train of thought for my next car purchase.
I had the Baja in yellow(and manual). I wish I had the outback instead.
It’s parked in front of an Army Navy store on PCH in Newport Beach. I drive past it a few times a week and like I said, it’s looking much rustier these days than it does in that picture. kind of a shame.
I get that. If your spending that much money you better get exactly what you want. Luckily when I bought my last car there were 3 dealers within 25 miles that had the exact color, trim level, and options I wanted. I negotiated the price before I even set foot in the dealer so I just had to show up, sign the papers and…

Just watched this this morning. Thought of David the whole time
Body Panels designed to trap water is about the most Land Rover way to solve an engineering problem I can think of
There’s an explorer I see around town done up exactly like this (minus the roof modification unfortunately). Every time I see it it makes me happy that it’s not just another Jurassic Park YJ you see from time to time.
I agree, I drive a 2017 2.5i Limited and although it doesn’t do any one thing exceptionally well it does most everything I would want from a daily driver competently at a price that I think makes it a better value than its rivals when you consider the sum of its parts. Sure other compact crossovers might do this or…
Against all better judgement I like this car so much that I had to give it a NP.
Ok here’s my RUF story. My department in college had a program where different companies could become sponsors of one of our labs. One of the labs was sponsored by an alumnus that had gone on to start a very successful structural engineering firm. This alumnus had become a personal friend of Alois Ruf Jr. and owned…
