When I lived in London, I’d often see niquabed women pull out the boob and nurse. I had an African hairdresser try to position my infant son on my breast. That was a bit much.
Is it a cultural thing? I grew up in a large and extended Spanish family and as I think back to the time I was growing up, it was common that some female relative was breast feeding. It was just a matter of fact and nature, just like knowing everyone goes to the bathroom and there is really no need to talk about it.
