You misspoke, you recorded it, and then you published it.

Furthermore, there isn’t anything other than bullshit about range vs. reliability.

But that’s partially because Porsche is not willing to make the trade-off between range and reliability that Tesla is, as contributor Mack Hogan has explained.

The only problem with this is that for EVs, range is a performance stat - as important as any other. And every Porsche enthusiast is going to want their EV to outperform the competition when they pull into the local EV car show. What wont do is having some smug Tesla owner talking about how his car not only goes as

So how big was the check from Porsche?

The “expert” who thinks Tesla’s drivetrains are more efficient because they don’t care about reliability is laughably full of Shiite. In the last few years Tesla’s motors and batteries have been quite solid. Unlike my Mercedes which had a transmission replaced at 20k miles, or my 2016 Cayenne, which had a replacement

Yep, Tesla and everyone else have to go through these exact same EPA tests, so unless they are cheating the tests (and Porsche’s corporate family is the one with experience there), it should be pretty much and apples to apples comparison.

Why does it matter if “electric vehicle testing is complicated”. As long as the EPA applies it’s rules across the board for all electric car manufacturers, why give Porsche special treatment?

It’s not, though. It would be the ugliest car in Kia’s lineup by a fair margin.

Go Team Venture!

This is the only X1 I’m interested in

Can we as car enthusiasts please stop legitimizing this practice and the knobs who participate?

I wish we’d stop publicizing these maroons.

Looks closer to a refreshed TT than F-Type to me.

The BMW service lounge is comparable to the Mercedes service lounge. You’ll be fine!

Tesla already owns production lines with all the systems you're claiming they're avoiding. Your argument fails both the smell test and any application of Occam's Razor.

No, it’s ugly.

Or just those billions of people in developing countries who weren’t fortunate enough to be born where you were

So ... maybe don’t take exposures at a known time and of a known part of the sky that the satellites are going to transit? Its not like the launch and deployment were a huge secret or something. I’m actually more than a little surprised this apparently came as a shock to these folks ...

The real world benefits of the satellites outweighs the issues it is causing to astronomers so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
