Ok guys, sorry, codfangler says no more credits.  shut it all down.

For once someone get David Tracy on the line, there are a bunch of decent Jeeps down there. All manner that have never seen a salty winter. and David, if you’re reading this, skip those strange vacations you take, I think you need to visit the mid-Atlantic coast for some good looking Jeeps.

I think Mercedes is the winner today. An old woody wagon will keep Wil’s hip pastor image intact. I like the Accord suggestion, but that car looks suspicious as hell to me. There are reasons why it is selling for that little.

It is sad that Jalopnik post’s such articles now. Obviously it’s a rendering, clickbait article. I expected more from Torch

I’d love to take a look once it’s no longer a slideshow...

The inside shot shows a crappy door pocket that looks more at home in a corolla and some sort of dot matrix printout.  This is a ruse.

238 miles of range..... that isn’t very good. Plus it costs a shit ton

Looks aren’t the only important part about a car purchase. Sure, plenty of people find Tesla’s looks a bit too conservative but it’s still a massive bang for the buck. Compare the E-Tron GT price and specs against the Model 3. Or the E-Tron RS against the base trim Model S. I would rather buy two or 3 Teslas for the

You can buy a Tesla for less than half the price of this. d those are the ones that sell in volume. So you know, there’s that.

The sad Nissan dealership in the background is the best part.

People said the same thing about drive-by-wire and computer controlled brakes. Now they are just the way things are done. Sorry if I stepped on your lawn.

I’ve been driving about 20 years. I’ve had infotainment screens that included touch screen and NAV for over 10 years. Never had a single electrical problem. Screen never died. Never froze. It feels pretty reliable to me so far.

I assume you don’t drive at night? Standard mirrors are great at ensuring that every single lumen from the dozens of SUV/pickup trucks that seem designed solely to kill pedestrians and blind motorists in traditional cars.

Mirrors are 2-7% of drag. A camera would be a lot less. Although I feel the pods on this car are a bit large.

Mirrors add 2-7% drag to a vehicle. That may not be a ton, but automakers have already implemented the low hanging fruit to improve fuel economy. So now they are searching for every percent they can.

How fast do you have to be going before the reduced drag outweighs the amount of energy used to power two extra screens and some cameras?

Modern cars have awful blind spots to meet safety standards and style expectations. Digital mirrors offer potentially better visibility, and other incremental improvements like not needing adjustment to a certain angle to match every driver.

Mirrors are a large source of drag. Cameras will increase efficiency.

If there is anything good to take away from this, however, it’s that the new Model S finally has a gauge cluster. Tesla has moved the driver information out of the center screen to more effectively use that real estate. A simple glance down to check out things like your speed and your cruise control status is much
